It is said that out of crisis are born great ideas. Dalicia Cadaqués is certainly an example. Alvaro de Torre, a 32-year old economist from Figueres, initiated this ambitious undertaking. He exports
the best of Catalan and Spanish cuisine to the world in a unique commercial manner.

This doesn’t exist anywhere else. We wish to promote the Costa Brava through its cuisine. We want Dalicia Cadaqués to be point of reference for quality products and to publicize that on the Internet www.daliciacadaques.com, in our own stores, and through franchises.
The original idea was to sell top quality delicatessen on the Internet. In times of crisis, people prefer to have dinner parties at home to going out to restaurants, because it’s cheaper. We thought it would be appealing to sell cooked or semi-prepared products on the Internet that require little preparation but are of high quality. We can reach anybody on the Internet, including those that are on their boat all day and have to cook there. We have a special web page for them, where they can order our products to be delivered to the quay: www.seadondesea.net. As the project progressed, Alvaro, good economist that he is, realized that he needed a real shop to support the web. “People like to see and touch products; that is why we decided to open this place that transmits emotions through your taste buds.
He selected Cadaqués, the most legendary village of the Costa Brava, and opened his shop in one of the small streets in the centre. The blue and white colours indicate good taste and dignity, and interior decorator Rossend Cortés studied every detail to capture the essence of Cadaqués and the Costa Brava. You will find many exquisite things here, but they all have quality in common. And they will cater to your curiosity and eagerness for discovering novelties. There is also a corner in the shop Alvaro calls “the smallest gastronomic space in the world,” for tasting of the most renowned national and international products. “At least once in a lifetime” is the motto of this corner. Yes, you must try the great products sold by this shop prepared by it chef Carlos Antoner at least once.
