Edegar d’Avila (Brazilian) and Louise Boissevain (British) have created a distinct space with an ample collection of furniture and objects (antique/vintage), exhibitions of renowned artists, and avant-garde installations that all tempt your fancy.

This attractive and distinct place is located in an 18th C. masia in a natural setting near the small village of Sant Marti Vell. Edegar is an architect and has succeeded in returning the house to its original splendour. The 400 sq. m. large showroom includes furniture, collector’s items, and works of art. Each piece is well placed, awaiting a new opportunity. The living room boasts an interesting collection of 18th to 20th C. religious art that mingles harmoniously with 19th C. Brazilian colonial furniture, Italian chandeliers and vintage objects that Edegar has been collecting for the last decades. A change of room brings you to a new century. Two vaulted rooms adjacent to the living room are the reign of the 50s and 60s, and of a wide-ranging collection of contemporary art. We want this house to be open to all senses, explains Edegar, a place where you can find manifold things: Religious works of art, Brazilian colonial furniture, or pieces from the 50s and 60s of varied origin. Edegar gathered these treasures as the years went by. He started collecting two decades ago, and still goes on searching for new pieces from other epochs on markets that he saves from oblivion and gives new life. It’s important to find inexpensive pieces, he explains, and not to sell them with excessive mark-ups. We strive for a top price-quality ratio; this is not about speculating or giving away, everything is correctly priced.

In this new place, Edegar has been able to combine his profession, his vocation, and his creativity. As an architect, he enjoyed restoring the old masia; his creativity as an interior decorator and talent for mise en scène, as well as his past as an art gallery owner, are obvious in the rooms for exhibitions and installations. To stroll through this space open to everyone is to enjoy with all your senses contemplating art, caressing antique furniture full of history, smelling the fragrances of the countryside, or simply listening to the silence of this peaceful place.
